SNAKEFISH, unlike the phoenix, was born from ashes that never went cold! Playing together for the past 18 months, as a result of performing a set as The Dugites at The Old Day Out in March 2004 -- we're a group of musicians who've been working in the industry for a total of more than 15 decades, and who've collectively covered just about every musical genre known to humankind... and it shows in our wide-ranging and eclectic repertoire, which is constituted of 50% original tunes combined with our own versions of tunes by artists such as Duke Ellington, Astor Piazzolla, Paul Simon, The Shadows, Kaoma, the Stones, Elvis Costello, Joe Satriani, Dixie Chicks and local songwriter/ performer Dave Rose [now sadly passed away]. Contemporary world pop rock?? with piano accordion! There's a variety of rhythms; ...everything from sweet melodic almost-country numbers to Cajun to African to cabaret rumba things, a bit of Grace Jones sort of thing, your four on the floor rock songs and lots of vocal harmonies... five parts of them!
